Privacy Policy

SideGigArt provides free calculators, decision tools, educational guides and website readiness checks. Most of the site can be used without sending personal information to us. This policy explains the important differences between tools that run only in your browser and website checks that require our server to fetch a public URL.

No accounts or user profiles

There is no public sign-up, login, paid subscription or user profile. SideGigArt does not ask for your name, email address, payment details or employer in order to use the calculators, read the guides or run the public website tools.

Calculator inputs stay in your browser

The numbers and choices you enter into the freelance, cash-flow, proposal, negotiation, publishing and viability tools are processed in your browser. They are not sent to SideGigArt and are not stored in our database.

Some tools can place selected values into the page address so you can bookmark or share a scenario. If you use that feature, anyone who receives the link can see the values in it, and the address may be retained in browser history, messages or services through which you share it. Do not put client names, confidential terms or other sensitive information into a shareable link. Copied proposals, scripts and summaries remain under your control once copied from the page.

Guides and ordinary page visits

Reading a guide or normal page does not require you to provide personal information. Like most hosted websites, our hosting provider may process standard request details such as IP address, browser or user agent, timestamp and requested path for security, reliability and delivery. We do not use those records to create individual visitor profiles.

URLs submitted to website tools

A website readiness check or crawl map cannot run entirely in your browser. When you submit an address, it is sent to our server, which requests public pages and files from that site. Depending on the tool, those requests can include the homepage, linked pages,/ads.txt, /robots.txt and /sitemap.xml. The URL may also be sent to Google PageSpeed Insights, which analyses it under Google's privacy policy.

The site being checked sees our server's IP address and user agent rather than yours. Its operator can see that the page was fetched, but not who requested the check. Only submit public URLs that you own or are entitled to test. Never submit private addresses or URLs containing passwords, access tokens or other secrets.

Check results and abuse prevention

Website-check results are generated on demand and returned to your browser. They are not published or indexed by SideGigArt. To prevent misuse of a service that fetches external sites, each check records a one-way SHA-256 hash of the requesting IP address, the hostname checked and a timestamp. This limited record is used to enforce the hourly request limit, is not publicly readable and is deleted after 24 hours. The original IP address is not stored in that record.

Search traffic transparency

The Search Traffic page displays aggregated Google Search Console information for SideGigArt itself, such as clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, countries, devices, queries and pages. It does not display individual visitors or data from a website submitted to a checker.

Advertising, consent and cookies

SideGigArt is supported by advertising. Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies or similar storage to serve and measure ads. Advertising storage is denied by default. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked whether to allow advertising cookies; declining does not remove access to any calculator, guide or website tool.

You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie choices” link in the footer. You can also manage personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings or block cookies in your browser.

Email

If you email hi@sidegigart.io, we receive your address and whatever you include. That correspondence is kept only as long as needed to answer, investigate a report or maintain a reasonable record of the conversation. You can ask us to delete it.

Children

SideGigArt is intended for freelancers, side-hustle operators and website publishers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights and contact

Because there are no user accounts and calculator entries stay in the browser, we generally hold no identifiable calculator history to access, correct or erase. Questions about this policy, email correspondence or a privacy request can be sent to hi@sidegigart.io.

Changes

This page is updated whenever SideGigArt's tools or actual data-handling practices change. The date above records the latest substantive update.
